Year 9 deliver knockout performances at dance festival

Year 9 students represented St Katherine’s at another fantastic North Somerset Dance Festival at the Weston Playhouse in Weston super Mare.

The students performed two knock out dances; a contemporary dance to 'Polaroid' and a themed dance to 'Salute' by Little Mix to mark 100 years of the suffragette movement and honour women who fought for the women's right to vote. 

It was an absolutely stunning evening for the annual event with performances from secondary and primary schools from across the county.  The night raised over £400 for St Peters Hospice on behalf of Del Shayler’s family. Del was a colleague who worked on these events and sadly passed away last year.

Colleagues staging the event praised the efforts and attitudes of our wonderful students; a very well done indeed.
