Year 8 rise to the Probability challenge

As part of Year 8’s study on probability, the Maths team decided to have some fun and tasked the students to host a Probability Fair

The students designed and made their own probability games and were tasked to calculate the probability of winning and their expected profit by carrying out classroom experiments.

The result was phenomenal.  Year 8 produced a fantastic variety of games and activities which showcased the brilliant talent we have here at St Katherine’s.

The students were given tokens and challenged to see who could gain the most by the end of the fair. There was a buzz in the air and the students loved playing each others games.
