Adventure Training Club Caving Trip
On Saturday 23rd November students from years 9 to 12 went underground, led by Mendip Outdoor Pursuits, for St Katherine’s Adventure Training Club’s second trip of the year.
Despite the rain in Burrington Combe, the students were kitted up in oversuits and helmets, before walking to the intimidating cave entrance. Once inside, the team made their way past bats and spiders and headed into the depths of the cave. Braving tight squeezes, shuffling down steep chimneys and experiencing the pitch black, the students navigated the underground challenges of Goatchurch Cavern.
Thanks so much to Mr Hodgson and Mr Francis-Black for giving up their time so the students could take part in this fantastic experience.
